Saudi newspaper reported a different scenario than the official report released by the Syrian News Agency “SANA”. Before we see the Saudi story you can read the Syrian official version in English here.

Middle East travelers recognize such 4x4 cars mentioned in the above link used for long-distance passengers transport, from/to Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon.

Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadh claims that it based its story on eyewitnesses at the scene of the explosion. The story goes as the following:

There was unusual busy traffic early hours in the morning at that day because one of the roads is blocked for reparations and maintains. Few minutes before the blast there was a traffic accident between a black-colored car and a truck carrying sands [probably this truck related to the road work], after few seconds the black car exploded.

Is the traffic accident caused the explosion??

One eyewitness added this:

We saw two burned bodies inside the car and two outside the car, also the two bodies in the truck.

This different from the Syrian story which reported “one” suicide bomber.

last, is what Al-Akhbar reported that Egypt and Saudi Arabia are the only two Arab countries didn’t issue an official state condolences for the victims of the Syria explosion.
