Iran: The real SOFA opposition is not started yet

Prob­a­bly, the first stage is already started as reported by Awan say­ing that a new armed group called “Uhud” trained in Iran started assas­si­na­tion and bomb­ing oper­a­tions but there are more to come.

Al-Akhbar’s cor­re­spon­dent in Tehran reported that Iran­ian sources told him about unpleas­ant sur­prises wait­ing for the Amer­i­cans in Iraq soon. Iraqi key player will elim­i­nate the Iraq – U.S. secu­rity agreement.

Informed sources [in Iran] told the news­pa­per that the real U.S. — Iraq SOFA oppo­si­tion has not started yet. The sources also promised to rally pub­lic, polit­i­cal and media actions soon in whole of Iraq and can be moved to the neigh­bor­ing countries.

The Sadr Trend, will not stand idl by and the move­ment will express its rejec­tion in dif­fer­ent ways and not only with weekly demon­stra­tions. Even the “Islamic Supreme Coun­cil” and “Dawa Party” are not enthu­si­ast any more as they were before, but the biggest bet now lies with the reli­gious author­ity, par­tic­u­larly in Najaf. Sistani’s posi­tion will empty the agree­ment from its content.
