Sadrists reject Odierno’s remarks
For the first time, Iranian officials admit [as reported on the Iranian site tabnak] that Muqtada Al-Sadr is in Qom – Iran to finish his religious studies getting the title “Mujtahid” by 2010 which allows him to issue valid Fatwas.
His study is supervised by two high-ranked Ayatollahs, Ayatollah Seyyed Kazem Ha’iri and Ayatollah Mahmoud Hashemi Shaharoodi Iran’s judiciary chief.

Sadrist MP Fawzi Akram told AKI that General Ray Odierno’s remarks meant to insult the Iraqi parliament saying:
If he has a real existed evidence, then he should reveal the names of those who involved in public to take the necessary action against them according to parliament rules and procedures.
There are large numbers of Iraqi lawmakers reject the occupation and the agreement and they believe in the peaceful, honorable resistance.
