Carter to tour Syria and Lebanon this month, Hariri mediates between Europe and Russia

Jimmy Carter will visit Lebanon and Syria this month as revealed by Assafir, Gor­don Brown visit is sched­uled on 27 Nov.

Hariri told the Russ­ian news­pa­per RBC­Daily that Lebanon is ready to rec­og­nize Abk­hazia and South Osse­tia as two inde­pen­dent states. Russ­ian polit­i­cal ana­lyst says that Hariri is medi­at­ing between the West and Russia:
