Sadr’s new militia

Muq­tada Al-Sadr spokesman announced today in his Fri­day speech the for­ma­tion of a Brigade called “Al-Youm Al-Mau’od” = “Judg­ment Day” to fight the U.S. occu­pa­tion forces in case they force their pres­ence in Iraq after the with­drawal “date”.

Al-Sadr stressed that the “new brigade” only will take the task of resist­ing the occu­pa­tion and not other group. In his state­ment he also called on the Iraqi resis­tance group “Al-Asaib” to join the new brigade.

SOFA

Al-Watan reported today that United Iraqi Alliance will join the Kur­dish Coali­tion to approve SOFA in the com­ing “Min­is­ters Coun­cil” voting.
