Pirates of the Gulf

If you follow the Iranian military buildup, then you notice that they are more interested in the Gulf than anywhere else such as unmanned submarine or the Nasr sea-sea missiles.

Coincidence? This is timed with Iraq’s defence minister warning of “pirates of the Gulf”.

The missing ring in the chain is reported by the Iraqi Sadrist MP Al-Masoudi saying that before SOFA approval, Iraq and U.S. has signed a protocol to protect the Iraqi commercial ships and the Iraqi water from “piracy”, while there is not a single piracy-operation reported in the Gulf before.

Masoudi says that this is an American excuse to dominate water of the Gulf.

i’m sure america can arrange some piracy operations if this would make the narrative more convincing.
