Power conflict, not a coup

release of the coup-plotters, news came that they are still in custody.

DPA quoted [via Al-Quds] an anonymous source today saying that the investigation judge ordered their release because of lack of evidence but the arrested are still imprisoned [according to Al-Malaf Press Minister of the National Security AL-Wa’li who is connected to the Iranian intelligence is the man behind the coup fabrications].

Okaz.

The newspaper says that the reason behind the recent arrests are conflicting political agendas among these political blocs. From the groups function under the Ministry of Defense others for the Interior Ministry, also groups under the Intelligence Service or those work for the Prime Minister’s Office, and lets not forget militias works for political blocs and those who are connected to the American forces and the CIA. Each one of these apparatus is in conflict with the others.

Okaz’s reported warns of the following:

The most dangerous part of playing the “coup-game” is: It reflects the fragility of the political process, and the readiness of some political blocs to play such a game to achieve power.

    Ladysweetie,
Gateway Pundit: http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2008/12/shoe-chuckers-family-ap-completely-lied.html and the Iranian Fars News Agency are claiming Muntader al-Zaidi loves Iran:

On Saturday, Uday, al-Zaidi’s other brother, spoke to FNA and rejected the report by the Associated Press.

Uday claimed none of his family members had made any anti-Iran comments.

AP has completely lied in its report. None of our family members has made any comments about my brother’s opinion on Iran… Muntader is a Shiite who is fond of Iran,” Uday said.

Gateway Pundit adds: Al-Zaidi’s family comes from Sadr City.
It was previously reported that Muntader supported radical Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr but this was mostly ignored by the mainstream media.

So, what’s the story? I see Layla claimed he was a leftist,
but now Fars and Gateway seem to be making him out to be a Sadrist…

  2. LadyBird says:

Simple, he is a hero in the Third World and everybody wants to adopt him.

Turkey, Lebanon and Egypt each country claim that he is bought his shoe from one the three countries.
