There were uncountable article, poems, and stories in support of Al-Zaidi action against Bush, but as usual there were few article criticized what he did written by pro-American agenda Arabs [Iraqi intellectual Salah Al-Mukhtar calls them “Arab-Marines”].
This a preview of such articles:
I don’t know thisEnglish] “Journalism, Democracy and Shoes!”.
With such claims, should I beat myself or you will do it dear readers? Bush, who invaded Iraq and violated the honor of the people in Abu Ghraib, is a guest and should be treated according to Arab customs?
Bush came as an invader and he is treated like an invader.
Saudi – American propaganda cooperation is to be seen on the Saudi funded news site Elaph:
The first article appeared to criticize Al-Zaidi action is written by the Arab Head of an American spy organization monitors Arab websites and forums injecting here and there few propaganda materials.
For those who don’t know Walid Jawad, then here is how he started: “who also wrote that Guantanamo is not that bad]
Jawad wrote on Elaph an article called “pen Journalism or foot journalism?”
In this retrogressive democracy in Iraq, Bush put himself available among the journalists to spread the benefits of the U.S. — Iraq relations. With Al-Zaidi action this benefit never achieved.
The comments under the article were enough to show the writer who people received his article.
Encouraged by the writer, Saudi Elaph thought: “Maybe we can spread out own propaganda”, and this is what they did and worked on some people [see the comment by “Mister Ghost” in this Blog].
Elaph reported the following:
Elaph managed to obtain confidential information that Al-Zaidi works for a AL-Baghdadia TV which pro-Ba’ath related to Raghad, Saddam’s daughter.
And as for Al-Zaidi, our information revealed that he is lives in Sadr city, wears Che Guevara Tshirt and chosen to show that there are many Shiites still loyal to Saddam Hussein. Al-Zaidi received training on what he will do and say in the press conference.
Egyptian writer Jamal Sultan said he was waiting for the Americanized Arabs media-group to be angry:
As if they were insulted by a shoes and not Bush. Out of the sudden they remembered the civilized world describing the action of the Iraqi journalist as barbarian.
In their defense of their “Godfather” Bush, they forget that the U.S. is leading the world in Barbarism.
P.S.
In many of these articles, I sent my own comments saying:
Was the killing of Aljazeera cameraman in Baghdad a civilized act? What about Al-Jazeera anchor Sami Al-Haj’s three years in Guantanamo, or Reuters correspondent who is still in U.S. custody even after he is declared innocent by an Iraqi court.
Where were these voices?
Not a single comment of mine is published.

Well, here’s another one for you Ladysweetie, interpret it any way you like, I’m more curious as to what exactly his beliefs are and what motivated him, but there is so much propaganda and disinformation out there about him:

Dr. Walid Phares says: The Force behind the Shoe Thrower
It gets better when you investigate the organization paying his salary and expenses. Al Baghdadiya TV, based in Cairo, is owned by another controversial figure in the murky world of Middle Eastern media: Abdel Hussein Shaaban, an Iraqi Shia from Najaf and ex-Communist. According to Iraqi opposition sources based in London, Shaaban was an operative for Saddam, tasked with discrediting the Baathist leader’s critics around the world. Obviously it comes with payroll, according to the same sources.
