If so many deny the plan of topple Maliki, then there is some kind of truth in the story. Here is Al-Hayat with another “denial” report.
In his article on Qatari newspaper Al-Raya, Al-Rukabi describes the resignation of parliament speaker Al-Mashhadani as:
The fall of the autumn leafs in the Green Zone started with Al-Mashhadani, is the beginning of the fall of different kind of leafs and probably Maliki himself next.
His rivals (former allies) are planning for his removal after two issues are confirmed:
1– Adopting the oil and Gas law.
2– End Kirkuk crisis in way that satisfies the Kurdish leaders.
Between the denial and the confirmation to topple Maliki, al-Dujaili wrote to Al-Qabas:
topple of Maliki discussion among the political blocs] is closer to the truth with different details, which means that the confrontation [among the political blocs] will continue and political situation will become more dangerous.
But notice that the writer added one more reason to postpone Maliki’s removal saying:
The differences between Maliki and the Kurds on one hand, Maliki and the Supreme Council on the other hand still exist, but what delay from happening is that they do not have an alternative and the fear of the consequences on the sectarian political system.
The politicians are using a denial language here and there is only to cover the embarrassment of what has been revealed in Dukan.
