Maliki’s deal with the Sadrists

Iraqi writer Fadhil Al-Ruba’i was on AlJazeera few minutes ago and still insisting that this election is part of Joe Biden’s soft strategy to divide Iraq into three [or many] regions [AL-Ruba’i already wrote about this before but I expect that he will write more in the coming days]

Today’s report on Al-Watan uses the same words of yesterday’s Al-Akhbar, but Al-Dujaili adds the following:

The Sadrists’ decision will influence which [Shiite] side to win the majority.

And if what reported today on Nahrainnet is true, then this will be Maliki’s list:

Maliki decision to release leaders of the Sadrists leaders Qais Al-Khazaili and Abdul Hadi Al-Daraji from Boca prison is part of deal with between Maliki and Sadr Trend, not objected by the Americans.

And the reason is:

Maliki take this step to increase his chances against his rival the Supreme Council.

And the Supreme Council [or Al-Hakim] is just made things worst for himself demanding the creation of the “Baghdad Region”.
