Maliki’s days are numbered

Only two ago, I reported that Maliki’s days are numbered, but it seems that this will happened faster than I thought.

I told you before; Allawi is cooking something, and the link below explains recent Allawi’s activities with Al-Hakim and Sistani.

Reported exclusively by Ipairaq through anonymous parliamentary sources, that political blocs in the parliament are seriously discussing the withdrawal of confidence from Maliki:

A new alliance contains (the two Kurdish parties, Supreme Council, Islamic Party and Al-Iraqiya List) is preparing itself at the national and regional level for the last crucial confrontation round against Maliki and his allies (Dawa Party, Dawa Party – Iraq, Al-Fadhila, Sadrists, National Dialogue).

Withdraw confidence can achieved in Parliament by obtaining the simple majority (50%+1 = 138 vote), which makes the votes of the independent MPs very important.

What are Maliki’s options?

Iraqi writer Abu Mohammad Al-Ansari answers: close to nothing:

Maliki is trying to block any attempt to be impeached by the parliament, especially with the recent news about the strong possibility of forming an alliance by the Kurds, Shiites and Sunnis, prompted by the growing sense of a possible change in the political game in Iraq.

They will be very happy to leave Maliki alone in any confrontation created by the Americans.

But according to the writer, there is one last untrusted option for Maliki:

Maliki needs Sistani’s support to prevent Al-Hakim from using the crisis to achieve gains, which could make a differences in American agenda, but would Sistani do it? or he keep Silent.

The first indication came when Sistani’s funded Al-Furat TV dropped the line of Maliki criticizing Biden.
