Iran scenario
First time admission by Dawa Party #2 Al-Adeeb in his interview with Al-Khaleej saying:
There is an attempt by the Supreme Council – Kurds Coalition – Islamic Party to oust Maliki or at least to make it a caretaker government.
In his reaction to the call of the two deputy presidents to question Maliki about the recent collapse of the security situation, another Dawa Party leader Sami Al-Askari told Al-Hayat today:
An attempt to show the bad security situation, in order to influence Maliki’s reputation because of the success Maliki achieved in Provincial Election …. They are trying to show Maliki’s “imposing law” slogan is not true.
Which explains the recent statement made the Interior Minister Al-Bolani saying: “Shiite Militia are active again”. Interesting is that the Supreme Council accused Maliki’s reconciliation initiative with being behind the deterring security situation.
US scenario
Newspaper Al-Bayyna Al-Jadida [same link on Fars News] is Dawa Party sympathist banned from Maliki’s office after publishing this report, the newspaper accused “people” in the office behind this decision, despite it is newspaper #1 in Maliki’s favorites list.
The report says that the US administration is cooperating with regional powers neighboring countries, particularly Saudi Arabia in order to end the Shiites rule in Iraq.
Work together with the Kurds, this camp want to achieve the following:
- To confirm the election of Ayad Al-Samarrai, as the speaker of the parliament to form a strong parliamentary bloc that can withdraw the confidence from Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki.
- To create a crisis between the central government and the regional government in Kurdistan, particularly the Kurdish Massoud Barzani.
- Widen the gap between Maliki and Talabani.
- Deliberate pressure made by the Kurdish parties and the Islamic Party to drag the Supreme Council into the confrontation arena against Maliki.
- Leaking [false] reports to the Americans, that the agenda of Prime Minister Al-Maliki and the Supreme Islamic Council is connected and influenced by Iran.
To me the points sounds more Iranians than Americans, but this doesn’t mean that the Americans are not cooking something also, or it is the same scenario agreed upon by both.
