Assafir says:
Netanyahu’s speech was a declaration of war against the Palestinians… But he [Netanyahu] achieved his goal to close the gap with the Americans.
Al-Akhbar described Netanyahu’s speech as a slap in Obama’s face.
The word “slap” is also used by Al-Quds Al-Arabi’s Chief Editor Bari Atwan saying:
He said nothing about the “Arab Initiative” and not a single word about the Roadmap
The question right now is about the Arab’s answer to this speech and not the American answer. Is the Arab Peace Initiative still valid?
Al-Arab Al-Youm editorial came with this headline:
Netanyahu’s initiative for the continuation of the violence … His promises of the Palestinian State came even less than Moshi Diyan’s promises of a Palestinian Civil Authority.
He [Netanyahu] is trying to cheat the US president Obama, and the international community merchandizing himself as a man of peace, while his speech was full of poison.
Syrian newspaper Al-Thawra summarized its opinion in few words:
Farewell to the peace … But what do you expected from somebody who won the election because of his extremism agenda?
Netanyahu’s vision of a Palestinian State is a flag and national Anthem.
Jordan Newssite Kul Al-Ardun says:
After this speech, the continuation of the negotiations means the loss of Quds, and no right of return to the refugees.
