Maliki’s “immoral” demand from Syria

There is a reason behind Bashar Al-Assad calling the Iraqi charges as “immoral”.

According to Fatehoon Sources:

Maliki wants Syria to deal with Baathists the same way Syria dealt with the leader of the PKK Abdullah Ocalan .

Maliki’s demand is the expulsion of more than 300 Baathists from Syria to a third country, he suggested Libya, Yemen or any North African country.

The source added that Iraqi Oil Minister Hussein Shahrestani offered very generous oil contracts to Damascus in exchange with this demand.

And the reason why Maliki wants the Baathists to be expelled from Syria is his fear from any US — Baath — Syria surprises, explained more on Al-Malafpress:

The new development in the Syrian-US relations, and the U.S. security delegations visit Syria to discuss Iraq’s security, irritates the Iraqi government.

Maliki visited Syria but he noticed that the Syrians are more interested in economic and commercial issues than the political issues, he realized that Damascus has gone too far in its relationship with Washington and perhaps the US will “OK” Damascus’ involvement in Iraq.
