Truce violation in Yemen after army mutiny

We can start with video released by the Houthis showing bombshells with Saudi flag seized from the Yemeni army.

The truce between the Houthis and the Yemeni government collapsed after 4 hours, but the strange thing is that the Yemeni government the Houthis truce offered a day before.

Yemeni newspaper Marebpres has the answer to this this question saying:

Gulf-States, especially Saudi Arabia gave Yemen two weeks as deadline to achieve its objective to crush the Houthis in exchange with giving the Yemeni Government the political cover.

The GCC started to get very worry after the war toke too long to achieve anything, the Gulf-States statred to pressure Yemen to stop the current military operations in Sa’ada.

After the visit from Abdula Rahman Al-Atiyah Secretary General of the GCC, the Yemeni government offered a “humanitarian” truce without mentioning the six conditional points they put to end the operations.

The real reason behind the truce violation is reported on Al-hdhod:

A mutiny among Yemeni army ranks because of the government’s decision to suspend the operations in the North. there are also rumors of a silent conflict between Ali Abdullah Saleh — President of Yemen and his son Brigadier General Ahmed Ali Abdullah Saleh — commander of the Republican Guard.
