- Syria asked Talabani to mediate in the Iraq — Syria political crisis according to Al-Watan. I don’t think the Syrian government is worry about Maliki’s threats with the “International Court”, Syria is more worry with the US silence. Syria knows that the US is waiting for the right moment to employ the crisis for its benifit.
But the report on Al-Arab newspaper says different story:
Sources close to the U.S. Embassy in Iraq said that the Embassy is not convinced the accusations made by Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to Syria of being behind the deadly bombings.
The source pointed out that Iraqi government ignores founding evidence of the remains of explosives manufactured in other countries, but Iraqi political blocs want to accuse Syria for election interests.
- Lebanese security sources revealed that the Syrian intelligence services smuggled Mohammed Younis Al-Ahmad and Sattam Al-Farhan (the wanted Ba’athists by Maliki) to Lebanon.
The source, said that the Syrian intelligence services provided other Ba’ath Party members with forged passports to smuggle them to into the Sudan.

- Ba’athists in Jordan held secret meetings with Iraqi officials to join a coalition under different party names. The deal is to form four political blocs (Loyalty to Iraq List, Independent National Unity, Building Iraq List, Mesopotamian Competencies).
The reason behind these ongoing meetings is allow the Ba’ath Party to enter the Parliament. In my opinion this is the reason behind the “Arrest warrant issued for Iraq’s ambassador to Jordan”.
- Suicide bomber hit West Ramadi, and the US forces raided East Ramadi yesterday which is a violation of SOFA Agreement.
