Secret meetings in New York

Pales­tin­ian Al-Manar con­firmed that a high ranked Arab offi­cial pres­sured Mah­moud Abbas head of the Pales­tin­ian author­ity to meet Netanyahu.

Under per­sua­sion and threats, some Arab coun­tries also involved in con­vinc­ing Abbas of the impor­tance to allow George Mitchell’s mis­sion in the Mid­dle East to succeed.

Pal­to­day added that secret meet­ings held in New York between the Israeli del­e­ga­tion and some Arab del­e­ga­tions, the Israelis asked the Arabs to resume the pres­sure on Abbas.
