28-09-2009 — AL-Mashhadani (The National Independent Trend) officially withdraw from Maliki’s (State of Law) coalition (to announced Thursday) — AKI, according ipa-Iraq; political blocs left Allawi’s “Iraqi List” joined Mashhadani’s Trend and one split organization from the “Sadr Trend” called “Sadr Al-Iraq” also joined the Trend.
- With the same link above, AKI leaked information of few names of the political blocs in Maliki’s to-be-announced coalition, which is similar to my list here added unnamed tribal chiefs from Anbar — Samara’a — Kirkuk provinces.
- Allawi’s “Iraqi List” claims that 12 political blocs joined his “list”, no further details about the name of the 12 blocs.
- Fayli kurds formed a new political called “The General National Conference of the Fayli kurds”, the new movement joined INA saying: The reason to join INA is not Sectarism but [geographically] Fayli kurds are closer to INA’s [geographical] areas than to the Kurds.
27-09-2009 — A new idea under discussion by INA (or UIA) suggests the “rotation” of the coalition’s presidency among INA’s political blocs.
- Al-Zzaman in an interview with Asaib Al-Haq spokesman reveals that the group is working for the release of Hezbollah’s leader imprisoned in Iraq Ali Moussa Dakdouk.
- Maliki appointed his office director Tarek Najm as the head of the Iraqi intelligence service, succeed Mohammed Shahwani.
- Basra Political Council asked the government to declare the province as a disaster area because of the high level of salt in water that pushes the residents to migrate to other areas.
