The US Administration close to name an ambassador in Syria, Saudi King in Damascus within two days.

An official source in the White House told “Al-Khaleej” that the American Administration has started a review of a number of names nominated for U.S. ambassador in Damascus, hours after the departure of Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Miqdad.

King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia will be in Syria within two days (Tuesday according to news agencies, Monday afternoon according to Lebanese Aldiyar) to join Syria’s celebration of 36th anniversary of October war with Israel. According to Saudi sources: The three days visit will include Damascus, Latakia and Aleppo.

The sources also confirmed that the Saudi openness on Damascus will not weaken the “moderate-Arabs” side, or strengthen Iran’s allies, or to influence the Lebanese Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri to make concessions.
