Why doesn’t Lebanon return to Syria?

This is the headline on Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadh “Why doesn’t Lebanon return to Syria?” is celebrated and republished by the Syrian media. Turki Al-Sadeiri the Saudi writer says:

The problem with Lebanon, is that it is difficult the Government to lead everyone within its borders … in Syria, there is a strong government able to melt Lebanon’s multi-governments within.

After furious reactions from the Lebanese media (14 March group), the Saudi writer tried to explain his position with another article “This is what I meant about Lebanon and Syria”.

I wanted to say, that peace can not be achieved in Lebanon only by imposing it from an external power.

Which made things worst than it was, which forced the writer to write an apology article, saying:

It is not a mistake to admit my mistake, I made an error in the expression and that deserves an apology and correction.
