Security

Minutes after today’s series explosions, and to gain the international support for an international tribunal, AL-Dabag reaction was the explosion targeted a conference of foreign ambassadors in Mansoor Hotel, while in reality the bomb exploded kilometers away from the Hotel.

Al-Bolani’s reaction “less is more”, he accused the same groups who carried out 19-August bombing with being behind today’s bombing (19-August Bolani accused political parties in the government).

One other reaction came from Salih Al-Mutlaq saying that political blocs in the government are behind the explosions, and they all accuse the Ba’ath Party. Mutlaq also supports the participation of Ba’ath Party in the political process by saying: If the Ba’athists allowed to participate right now, they can achieve at least 40 seats in the Parliament.

To under stand the today’s explosions, we just need to remember what happened in the last two days:

The Sadrists for example, after long silence, they spoiled Maliki’s “victorious” return from U.S. by timing the call to dispel US Forces from Iraq.

The Sadrists and the Maliki’s oppositions understand that the Americans will support Maliki’s second term and they are doing there best to give some tiny victory credits from secretly solving the crisis of Kirkuk with the Kurds “Washington pressures the Kurds to bypass Kirkuk crisis”, withdraw Iraq from the UN’s Article seven, to internationalizing Iraq — Syria crisis.

Politics

- This should be “Breaking News” if it’s true: Al-Wasat reported that Maliki met with Ammar Al-Hakim to inform him about the results of his visit to the US. Maliki expressed his willingness to join INA coalition regardless the Prime Minister post in the coming government (this is the only report about this meeting).

- Al-Hayat reported that the mechanism, criteria, and the process of the Sadrists pre-election parliament candidates are still a mystery. Sadrists leaders deny reports that Muqtada Al-Sadr imposed his own quota. One interesting thing in the reports; Most of the Sadrists leaders show some doubts that the same Sadrists members currently in the Parliament will be in the next Parliament.

- Qatari newspaper Al-Arab reported that Allawi’s “Iraqi List”, Salih Al-Mutlaq’s “Iraqi Dialogue Front”, Osama Al-Najafi’s “Iraqyoon”, Rafi’ Al-Isawi’s “Iraqi National Future” all met with Hashimi to discus the posibility of forming a joined coalition.

- Newsabah reported that Bolani’s new formed coalition “Iraqi Unity” is discussing a coalition with Isawi and Mutlaq.

Join the above two dots, and the conclusion is Bolani to form a coalition with Allawi, and that is confirmed by Al-Hayat today.
