Despite today’s report that Egypt and Arab countries mediation between Hamas and the PA intensives to accomplish the Palestinian reconciliation, and Al-Quds Al-Arabi’s report that a delegation from Hamas will visit Egypt soon (Al-Quds Al-Arabi also reported that Abbas’ decision of an early election is blessed by Arab countries).
In his speech yesterday, Mashaal rejected the elections and said: the [Hamas] options are open to respond to Abbas’s call.
What are Hamas options? Answer: none.
And this is how the PA will cooperate with Arab countries, US and Israel to implement this scenario:
- PA will declare Gaza as a “rebel region”, after PA election 25/01/2010.
- PA will go to the Arab League to issue a statement calling for Hamas to hand over the authority in Gaza to the “elected” PA.
- In case of Hamas refusal, Arabs will withdrawing recognition and the cover from Hamas. This decision will cause an embarrassment for pro-Hamas Arab countries (Syria, Qatar), and the US will use this decision to declare these countries as: “rogue states”.
- An international United Nations (Security Council) declaration will follow to force Hamas to hand over Gaza to international or Arab side named by the UN.
- Egypt will close all Hamas underground tunnels.
- Egyptian army will intervene, and invade Gaza or at least a bordering strip of Gaza, which allows PA to return partially to the region.
