From all the discussion on the Algeria vs Egypt football game, nobody noticed the social class change among the Arab football fans.
They are no more backward public from the slums of the cities as they used to be, now they are young new generation, twitter and facebook users, and easy to manipulate, bombarded day and night with the new Arab governments slogans such as (Egypt first, Algeria first, Jordan first, Saudi Arabia …etc .. few decades ago these slogans are considered insults).
This explains why Mubarak regime uses the game to advance his son Jamal as the next Egyptian president, or the sudden rise in Abdelaziz Bouteflika’s popularity.
