Influential religious clerics like Qaradhwi made himself useful at last and tried to calm the football-crisis between Algeria and Egypt accusing government officials from both countries of escalating the problem (official, government controlled media such as Akbar Al-Youm in Algeria, published today with this headline on the front page: There will be blood today).

Qardhawi said that if the football causes so much hatred among both countries then cancel this damn game.

At the beginning I thought I will never write about this football game, and I bet respectable writer and Academic such as Mohammad Abu Ruman felt the same ’till he feed up and wrote the following today:

Algerian and Egyptian governments mobilize the Arab streets for a football game … This shows what a failure Arab countries are .. Even stable countries are failure because there stability is fragile.

Arab countries are not countries anymore, they become gangs and Mafias with authority and military power.
