Lebanese Adda­yar reported that Jun­blatt leader of the Lebanese Social­ist Party will orches­trate an inter­view on Aljazeera to apol­o­gize per­son­ally from the Syria pres­i­dent Bashar Al-Assad, say­ing that he made a mis­take in a dif­fi­cult circumstances.

Pales­tin­ian sources told Pal­to­day that Syr­ian Pres­i­dent Bashar Al-Assad told PA pres­i­dent Mah­moud Abbas, of Damascus’s will­ing­ness to con­tribute to the Pales­tin­ian inter­nal rec­on­cil­i­a­tion efforts.

Assad’s sug­ges­tion came after Hamas refused to sign the Egypt­ian PA-Hamas pro­posal. Accord­ing to the sources, Abbas told Assad that Arab League, and Arab States assigned Egypt to do the Pales­tin­ian reconciliation.
