Why the U.S. rejected Yemen’s claims of Iran-Houthis connections?

A battle started this morning between the Houthis and the Saudi military forces around the Saudi border village Al-Jabir, which the Houthis invaded the Saudi Al-Jabiri military base this week.

Last information from the front says that the battle is still going on. Saudi Arabia released this video clip shows an Apache flying as evidence that Saudi forces control the area, while the Houthis released this video [download wmv] filmed inside Al-Jabiri Military base.

Saudi propaganda media reported today with reports connect Hezbollah and Iran’s Revolution Guards with the Houthis saying: “A secret meeting took place few days ago” [There is also one funny Saudi propaganda released today claims that Taliban is fighting with the Houthis].

Why the U.S. ignores these claims? For sure nobody takes Yemen or Ali Abdullah Salih claims serious.

According to Russian Novosti the U.S. is targeting Saudi Arabia with these messages:

Saudi Arabia is willing to buy Russian weapons, including tanks, “T-90″ tanks and S-400″ missiles. The Americans have decided to teach the Saudis a lesson that They can face serious problems when not backed by the Americans.

Perhaps the clearest evidence of the deterring US-Saudi relations when an American official rejected the Saudis “excessive use of force against the Houthis”.
