The thing we learned from the 30 minutes talks between the Lebanese president Suleiman and Obama, is that the American president has said: Lebanon must halt arms that threaten Israel, but for sure neither Suleiman nor Lebanon are the target with Obama’s statement.
Unexpected, it is Saudi Arabia, with its involvement in the war with the Shiite Houthis at the Yemen border which will has consequences inside the House of Saud for years to come, especially the deteriorating relation between the Saudi Shiites and the Saudi government.
Kuwaiti Al-Qabas revealed today that the Saudis are thinking to invite Hassan Nasrallah:
During a visit of senior Saudi official to Beirut, there are talks in Saudi Arabia to invite Hezbollah’s Hassan Nasrallah to visit Riyadh, after the Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Al-Hariri’s coming visit to Syria, meeting Bashar Al-Assad.
Probably, Obama was telling the Saudis indirectly: Not now.
