Yemen, Houthis and Al-Qaeda

Off topic or not, while all eyes on Al-Qaeda and Yemen, another Al-Qaeda affiliated branch is growing in Lebanon:

A well-informed security source told An Nahar: Al-Qaida militants are plotting terrorist attacks against state institutions and foreign missions…

Syrian FM Walid Muallem said today that Syria’s mediation between Yemen and Iran about the Houthis issue has failed because there are other powers get involved to prevent a diplomatic solution.

Funny to read the Yemeni FM Mr Al-Qirbi blaming all Yemen’s troubles on the 200–300 Al-Qaeda members (notice that western media is very interested in the numbers). the country is corrupt long time ago even before the word “corruption” invented, and here is Elham Manea tells about it on the Guardian “Is Yemen the next failed state?”.

Not sure yet if the Houthis leader Abdul Al-Malik Al-Houthi is dead or not, but one Yemeni website reported that the Houthis arrested all those who are close to Abdul Al-Malik for the doubt that they informed his movement to the Yemeni army, which led to his death.
