First, the decision made by the Appeals Court is very clear saying postpone JAC’s decision and not “cancellation” (image above is part of the decision).

Second, the election campaign officially postponed from 7 Feb to 12 Feb.

Third, I will bypass what is already reported by the news agencies.

It is possible to say that the actual election campaign started yesterday, because the Appeal Court decision will seriously affect the election results, and there is one thing very clear; this will not be in the interest of the Prime Minister –Maliki, who for the past two months tried “cover” JAC’s resolutions, and that will coast him his Sunni supporters and allies.

Reversing JAC’s decision gave Allawi’s Al-Iraqiya List and its allies Salih Al-Mutlaq, Naseer Al-Ani and Tariq Al-Hashemi (who cooked the cancellation of JAC decision in Washington) a big boost to kick start the election at the expense of Maliki’s “State of Law”.

As for INA, internal conflicts among its blocs (in an interview published today on Al-Hayat Al-Ja’afari accused Ammar Al-Hakim of taking decisions without consulting the coalition) reported on , internal conflicts among the Supreme Council members are started to weaken the Coalition.

All the (sectarian) Shiite parties are accusing Al-Hashemi of being behind this “plot”. Newspaper Al-Khaleej explains Hashemi’s role saying:

After his meeting with Obama’s Administration, the Americans were sure that the decisions of JAC will ignite the violence once again and will delay the U.S. withdrawal from Iraq.

The next day after Obama — Ah-Hashemi meeting, Washington wired its ambassador in Baghdad, Christopher Hill, to inform the Iraqi government that Obama administration will not recognize the results of the upcoming Iraqi elections in case of implementing JAC’s decision of the exclusion of nearly 700 candidates take place.

Among the jungle of accusation, notice that Maliki and Dawa Party kept themselves in the “safe side” targeting the U.S. ambassador Christopher Hill only, contrary to other sectarian Shiite Parties who targeted Obama’s Administration, Joe Biden and the U.S. ambassador.

Parliament speaker Al-Samari explained denied that he called the parliament for a special meeting, saying that was Maliki’s proposal to discuss the Appeals Court decision. Al-Samari asked Maliki about the goal of the parliament setting, then he requested a meeting with the four presidencies (the President office, he Judicial Council, the Council of Ministers and the Parliament). As for the reason behind his insistence on a meeting leaked reports on facebook says that Maliki wants to withdraw confidence from the Appeals Court.

But Sadrists MP Bahaa al-Araji went one step further saying that the decision made by Americans to cancel JAC’s decision is taken after a secret meeting with the Ba’ath Party.

Muqtada Al-Sadr also joined the “party”, releasing a statement uses harsh words accusing the government, directly attacking Dawa Party and interestingly Kurdish Parties saying that their mismanagement of Iraq’s affairs led to the return of the Baath party.

Where is the Iraqi constitution? .. Where are the freedom and democracy promises? .. Where are the instructions of our Supreme clerics? .. Where are the rules of the Iraqi official institutions? … A government who paves the way for the return of the Ba’ath Party, is a cursed government.

Also, words exchange between Abu Risha and (former para-medic, recently Sheikh) Hameed Al-Hayis (Sunni member joined INA).

Abu Risha said that Ahmad Al-Chalabi should also included in the de-Baathification decision, Al-Hayes criticized Abu Risha saying that he is connected to Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the American CIA.
