Syria and Iran support the nomination of Allawi as PM

Believe it or not! The The excluded politicians crisis will be solved soon, most of the excluded (if not all) will return to the election campaign. The only problem with the above is that: How the political will play this to the public?

To overcome the problem “legally”, Al-Iraqiya formed a “Defense Commission” contains a group of law experts and lawyers to defend the right of its excluded members (Dhafir AL-Ani and Salih Al-Mutlaq).

Add to the above, Allawi is heading to Tehran to meet Iranian officials, after Syria and Iran agreed on Allawi as the next Prime Minister. In a press conference he revealed that he received invitations from Iran and Turkey, but sources revealed that Allawi sent a delegation to Iran meet with the Head of the Iraqi Dep. — Revolution Guards “Qasim Sulaimani” .

I think Syria played a big role in convincing Iran to accept Allawi, a gift from Syria to the U.S. for appointing a new U.S. ambassador in Damascus (Robert Ford one of the first who called to engage the Sunnis in Iraq), and a sign of a “good will” from the Iran to the U.S. Administration.

Odierno, the U.S. commander who loves to be in the spotlights and to add his opinion even on nonmilitary issues (such as the election crisis with Hashemi and the Oil and Gas Law), said today that a small US force might remain in Iraq. this is just a U.S. attempt to obtain some credits, giving the impression that the U.S. pressure is behind the return of the excluded politicians (Robert Gates, repeated Odierno’s words, which makes you take the statement more serious).

  1. Watch Ahrar Party leader Ayad Jamal Aldin talk about his plan for the future of Iraq here.

  2. Admin says:

The U.S. loves the Sufis such as Ayad Jamal Al-Dim, but where did he get his $ 100 million, for his election campaign? How can he afford to pay Obama’s election campaign manager to run his own campaign in Iraq?
