This video clip is an example of how ugly the relation between Maliki and Hakim.
This is Maliki addressing the public in Wasit province yesterday, and his remarks after police found INA election campaign posters with Sistani images :
You should not be fooled by those who try to lie and deceive the Iraqi people, and you have to remember that the good position of Mr. Sistani, who was very clear, as he said that he stands at the same distance from all the lists, and he will not support any list at the expense of another list. How do you give your votes to those who lie in the name of Supreme Religious References?
Hasimi’s words to Al-Hayat today saying that Maliki is preparing for a coup if he losses the election, are not empty words. Described by Al-Sumria as a postponed war between Maliki and Al-Hakim, the decision made by “J and A” to exclude military officers is only the tip of a much bigger iceberg, and preparations for “Shiite-Shiite” post-election war.
The accountability and justice prepared a new exclusion list of 300 military officers (a second list and not the same as the first one), also rejected by Maliki, although the government had issued a decision to freeze any action of this kind.
The new exclusion list is part of the Shiite sectarian parties attempts to replace the professional military and Intelligence officers with 85 “low-ranked” officers to dominate the security institutions. The sources warned that Maliki planed to end his domination on the military institution with four months, and actions of the both coalitions (Dawa and Supreme Council) will create a dangerous power vacuum in the country after the election.
At the same time Prime Minister Al-Maliki continued a major shuffle and changes in the military leadership. Most of them are replaced with elements loyal to Dawa Party to extend his domination before the elections, such as the General Director of the of the Prisons to ensure the votes of the inmates, and the head of the of the military intelligence Maj. Gen. Alaa Al-Ameri is replaced with an officer “close to Maliki”.
