Scud missiles to pave the way for a UN resolution to deploy troops on the Lebanon – Syria border

There is one expla­na­tion of why some Arab politi­cians who are counted as “mod­er­ates” (pro-U.S.) started to change posi­tions. Hariri made it very clear in his indi­rect warn­ing to the U.S. of “stop believ­ing every­thing Israel says”, and Egypt­ian FM Abu Al-Gheit call­ing Israel “enemy” (and the recent Egypt’s let­ter to the U.S.).

Kuwaiti Al-Rai gives us the rea­son behind Israel-Syria-Lebanon cur­rent Scud pro­pa­ganda and the sur­pris­ing Hariri posi­tion. Accord­ing to the news­pa­per: Israel-U.S. goal is to pave the way for the prepa­ra­tion of a UN res­o­lu­tion to deploy troops on the Lebanon — the Syr­ian bor­der. Accord­ing to the same source, both Lebanon and Syria will reject this proposal.

The U.S.-Israel pro­pa­ganda goes as far as Kuwait. The U.S. ambas­sador in Kuwait told the news­pa­per: “Hia­bal­lah raises our con­cern in the region … We must dis­cuss the mech­a­nisms of its sup­port with the Syr­ian side”.
