The Federal Court
Before the Federal Court’s decision to cancel the Parliament’s open session, Lebanese newspaper Al-Mustaqbal expected this order saying:
Maliki Pressure on the parliamentary blocs to speed up the solution of the political crisis to coincide with rapid changes and the emergence of a rival candidate to face Maliki in the struggle for the prime minister’s office.
However, constitutionally, this resolution is not binding, because it did not come from the Constitutional Court, which has not yet been formed. The Federal Court should rule on issues related to administrative matters and federal affairs.
The role of the Federal Court has been talked about to death earlier, when the same court explained the meaning of “the largest bloc” in the parliament.
The round table
Following the “State of Law” accord to attend the meetings in Irbil, which became known as the round-table meeting, a senior leader in Dawa Party revealed that the National Alliance and the Kurdistan Alliance reached a final agreement by submitting an attachment to the Kurdish demands document, to characterize the government program for the next period.
In the same context, unexpected differences came out in the meeting that have occurred yesterday between the Dawa Party and the Sadrists meeting, who announced their rejection of many items in the Kurdistan Alliance’s document. A rejection could destroy all Maliki’s efforts to win a second term.
Maliki’s plan regarding the “round-Table” meeting, is revealed by Al-Hayat saying:
Al-Iraqiya in Irbil
Iyad Allawi, in a crucial visit to Arbil at the invitation of the Kurdish leadership to hold talks on ending the crisis in Iraq.
Among the leaders delegation who accompanied Allawi is the Kurds opponent Osama Nujaifi. Allawi is keen this time to take Nujaifi to Irbil, as a gesture to extend the maximum possible concessions, he offers to the Kurds, particularly in terms of the disputed areas and the situation on Mosul.
