At a time when Moqtada al-Sadr, blessed a group of supporters ready to carry out suicide bombings against “infidel occupation” American targets in Iraq (image above), he did not give the green light to do so. Sadr responded, saying: .. Thank you dear beloved, God bless you.
This development comes as a change in the Sadrist’s tactics of resistance adopting Al-Qaeda’s concept of suicide attacks. For the past eight years Al-Qaeda has monopolized the suicide attacks by car bombs or suicide vests, the Shiite resistance was limited to the use of usual arms usual, rockets and mortar shells aimed at some U.S. bases scattered around Iraq as well as the fortified Green Zone.

The above question from the suicide volunteers released a week after a person inquired “Is it allowed to kill an American who participated in the occupation of Iraq?” (image above). Al-Sadr replied a “funny” answer:
Are you in a coma?
Earlier, Al-Sadr’s organised an Anti-US demonstration as a show of power timed with the unrest in Syria, this time the question from the suicide bombers timed with Hassan Nasrallah revelation that the CIA infiltrated Hezbollah (a first time direct confrontation between Hezbollah and the CIA).
Even Muqtada Al-Sadr’s “sudden” relation improvement with Maliki as reported by Al-Sharq Al-Awsat is a tactical alliance and part of the regional political game to keep the Shiite (or the “Shiite crescent” if we include Syria) intact. Here is Al-Khuzaie who is very close to Maliki saying: “We will never allow the [Sunni] Islamization of Syria”.
Yet, there is no honeymoon (as reported by some newspapers) between Al-Sadr and Maliki, here is (image below) a question from one of Muqtada Al-Sadr’s supporters asking about the pressure on the Sadrists government employees to participate in the demonstration for the support of the Maliki’s government, and Al-Sadr’s answer is very clear, rejecting any support for Maliki:
Beware of [participating] in building a new dictatorship, or a State based on indifference and secret reports …

But, what Muqtada Al-Sadr is really trying to protect?
