وقد وصل كل من كيت رفائيل بيندر وكريستين رازوويسكي وبتريسيا ويلاند ومايكل انثوني لوبيرسيو وبراين ديفيد تريل وليندا سارتور خلال الأسبوع الماضي، وقد حصلوا على تأشيرات سياحية لدى وصولهم الى مطار البحرين الدولي غير انهم انتهكوا الأسباب التي حصلوا من أجلها على التأشيرات وشاركوا في مظاهرات غير قانونية. وقد تم اخذ افادتهم في مركز شرطة الحورة حيث وافقوا على مغادرة البلاد من دون اتخاذ أي اجراءات قانونية أخرى ضدهم.

يذكر ان سلطات الهجرة في مملكة البحرين رحلت بتايخ 11 فبراير كلا من هويدا عراف ورذيكا سيناث علما انهما من منظمي الرحلة التي قامت بها هذه المجموعة الى البحرين.
وقد صرح مسئول من إدارة الهجرة انه يتعين على زوار مملكة البحرين ان يدركوا جيدا ان الادلاء بمعلومات كاذبة في الوثائق المتعلقة بسلطات الهجرة يمثل انتهاكا للقوانين المعمول بها، الأمر الذي سيعرضهم للمساءلة القانونية.
ومن جانب آخر تم توقيف نبيل رجب أمس على خلفية مشاركته في مظاهرات غير مصرح بها والتحريض على التجمهر في الأماكن العامة. وقد تم توقيفه بمركز شرطة الحورة تمهيدا لاحالته الى النيابة العامة.

Gingrich to rescue Middle East

Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign will be disintegrated by the three developments.

First, the surprising strength economy recovery wii undermine Romney’s main rationale for his presidential campaign — i.e, Romney should become president because he is the only candidate with extensive private sector experience that could promote economic recovery. This is clearly not the case, as the current economic recoverty suggests.

Second, Romney’s campaign will be further eroded as Obama’s ill-conceived policies colllapse in Sudan/Libya, Egypt, Syria.and Iraq. Romney was a self-appointed cheerleader along with Senator McCain to drum up Republican Party support for these policies; as they go down in flames, so does Romney.

Third, the emergence of foreign policy crises brings a high degree of unpredictability for the 2012 campaign. Whereas Gingrich thrives on unpredictabity, and from a disruption of the status quo. Romney, in contrast, is strongest as the status quo candidate, “Mr. Inevitibility.”

In fact, the only thing which prevents Gincrich from political breakout is the absence of a dramatic and comprensive plan to resolve a regional crisis. Two possibiities come to mind. The first possibility is a comprehensive plan for the Middle East. My own version will be ready by Friday, and suggests a new anti-Iran alliance system for the Arabs that will use Iraq as the centerpiece, backstopped by Syria, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Turkey.
